Where does the hunt start?

At NOMA Square, 220 North Main Street, at the top of Main by the tall hotel. The nine mice are hidden along Main Street. Open the app when you arrive, and Reedy takes it from there.

Do I have to turn on location?

No. With location on, Reedy can tell when you’re close to a mouse. With it off, tap “I found one” whenever you spot a mouse. Either way, your location never leaves your iPhone.

The app doesn’t notice when I’m at a mouse.

GPS can drift between tall buildings, so stand still somewhere open for a few seconds. Check that iPhone Settings → Mouse Hunt → Location is set to “While Using the App”, with Precise Location on. Without Precise Location, your iPhone only shares a rough area. If it still won’t notice you, set Location to “Never” and use “I found one” instead. Changes in Settings take effect as soon as you come back to the app.

How do I start over?

Tap the gear to open Settings, then “Start a new hunt”. All nine mice go back into hiding, and your collection is cleared. To see the intro again, use “Replay the intro” on the same screen.

Do I need a data connection?

No. The hunt works offline. “Get directions” opens Apple Maps, which needs a connection.

Where is my progress saved?

Only on your iPhone. We can’t see it, so we can’t restore it for you. Deleting the app deletes your progress.

Can I make the text bigger?

Yes. The app follows your iPhone’s text size, including Larger Text in Accessibility settings, and it respects Reduce Motion.

Is this the official Mice on Main app?

No. Greenville Mouse Hunt is an independent app. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to VisitGreenvilleSC, the City of Greenville, or the “Mice on Main” project.

Is there an iPad or Android version?

Greenville Mouse Hunt is made for iPhone. An Android version is on its way.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. To ask for a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
