What we collect
Nothing. The app has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address, phone number or any other personal information. It contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code, and it doesn’t send information about you to us or to anyone else. The app itself makes no network requests.
Location
Turning on location is optional, and the hunt works without it. If you allow it, the app uses your location only while it’s open (“While Using the App”), and only on your iPhone, to work out how close you are to the next mouse. Your location is never saved, never sent to us or anyone else, and never used for anything else. The app never asks to use your location in the background.
You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings → Mouse Hunt → Location.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app can show a short alert when a mouse is nearby, while the app is open. The app creates these alerts on your iPhone itself. No push service is involved, and nothing is sent anywhere. Turn them off with “Proximity alerts” in the app’s Settings, or in iPhone Settings → Mouse Hunt → Notifications.
What stays on your iPhone
So you can pick up where you left off, the app saves a few things on your iPhone:
- which mice you’ve found;
- your settings, such as sound and proximity alerts, and small notes for itself, such as whether you’ve seen the intro;
- a handful of simple counts, such as how many times the app has been opened and how many hunts have been finished. They contain no names, times, places or device identifiers.
None of this ever leaves your iPhone, and we can’t see it. To erase it all, delete the app. To clear just your progress, use “Start a new hunt” in the app’s Settings.
Apple
Apple handles your purchase and the App Store. After you finish the hunt, the app may show iPhone’s standard rating prompt once. If you rate the app, the rating goes to Apple, and we never learn who you are. If you’ve chosen in iPhone Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics. Apple’s privacy policy covers all of this.
Links that leave the app
Two buttons open other apps: “Visit our website” opens silverkeydev.com in Safari, and “Get directions” opens Apple Maps. Once you leave Greenville Mouse Hunt, those apps’ own privacy practices apply.
Children
Greenville Mouse Hunt is made for all ages, including children. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children under 13. Parents and guardians with any question can write to us at [email protected].
Your choices
We hold no information about you, so there’s nothing for us to look up, correct, export or delete, and nothing to sell. Everything the app keeps stays on your iPhone, under your control. If you have a question about your privacy rights where you live, email us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. If the app ever starts collecting any information, we’ll update this policy before that version of the app is released.
